¡Bienvenídos a la clase de ESPAÑOL!
Señora Erin Boyle Folino, M.A. firstname.lastname@example.org
The students will become familiar with Spanish vocabulary, sentence structure, verb conjugation, grammar, cultural traditions, expressions, and prayer in written, listened, and spoken forms.
Each week’s lessons will include new vocabulary and grammar concepts, as well as review of material covered in previous classes and, for 7th & 8th graders, previous years. Vocabulary and grammar curricula will derive from Avancemos, a high school-level beginner Spanish textbook.
Grades will be determined by the following:
40% Tests & Quizzes
40% Homework assignments
20% Participation (preparation for class & appropriate classroom involvement)
MATERIALS NEEDED FOR EACH CLASS:
– Pens, pencils, highlighters, coloring utensils, dry erase markers
– Glue, scissors
– Spanish folder
– 1” 3-ring Spanish class binder
The rules & consequences listed in the Junior High Behavioral & Academic Code of Conduct apply to time spent in Spanish class as well.
If an assignment is late, it should be brought in the next class session and will be lowered one grade.
If the assignment does not come in the next day, the student will work with me at lunchtime, after school, or the following morning to complete the assignment. The homeroom teacher will be notified as well.
