St. Emily Spanish Club

St. Emily offers two after-school, extra-curricular classes for students in grades Kindergarten-2^nd and 3^rd-6^th in SPANISH – one of the most prevalent languages in this region of the United States!  Through repetition, songs, games, crafts, and even a fiesta or two, students are exposed to basic Spanish vocabulary, sentence structure, expressions, and culture – which parents are kept abreast of through weekly notices detailing what was covered during each session.  The class complements vocabulary presented in Learning Center for the primary grades, and acts as an introduction to the language to build confidence in learning Spanish within students in the intermediate grades before they are required to take it as part of the junior high curriculum.
